How it works

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the process feel relaxed, clear, and supportive from the beginning.

The first step is a free 20-minute phone call. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, briefly talk about what has brought you to therapy, and see whether I feel like the right fit for you. Finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with is important, and this initial conversation is an informal way for us to get to know each other before deciding whether to work together.

If you decide to continue, sessions are available either online or in person, and we will work together at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My aim is to create a supportive space where we can work through life’s ups and downs together. Sessions are charged at £50.

  1. Send a message: Use the contact form (or email directly) and share as much or as little as you like.
  2. Brief chat: We’ll arrange a short call to discuss what you’re looking for and whether I’m the right fit.
  3. First session: We’ll go at your pace. I’ll explain confidentiality, session structure, and answer your questions.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and can be in-person in Christchurch, Dorset or online via secure video.
